All HS students and faculty are offered a premium Grammarly account to use for revision.  Simply click the logo above and register with our school using one's JIS email address.  (Note:  You must register at grammarly.com/edu to gain access.) Grammarly’s online writing assistance and plagiarism tools encourage polished grammar, better overall wordsmithing, and a professional writing style.  Students may also add the Grammarly extension to their browser to correct documents in Google Docs, Gmail, etc...  If your JIS email account is already registered to a free Grammarly account, you may need to login, COMPLETELY delete the account, and start over using the link above.

Students, members of the community, and users worldwide will find information to assist with many writing projects. Teachers and trainers may use this material for in-class and out-of-class instruction."  The Purdue OWL MLA Citation Guide is a must for every member of the high school community.

JIS students should use Turnitin to "identify unoriginal content with the world’s most effective plagiarism detection solution. Manage potential academic misconduct by highlighting similarities to the world’s largest collection of internet, academic, and student paper content."

Classtools.net features a bunch of simple web tools for students and teachers including Fakebook, timeline tools, diagram makers, hamburger paragraph makers, SMS generators, timers, a QR code treasure hunt...and more.

• By far, our easiest to use referencing tool is MyBib.  It allows users to store multiple bibliographies, continually add resources, and format their resource correctly in MLA format.
• In fact, MyBib is so easy we HIGHLY RECOMMEND every JIS high school student create a MyBib account.  

NoodleTools

NoodleTools is an online research management platform that promotes critical thinking and authentic research. Students stay organized as they evaluate information, build accurate citations, archive source material, take notes, outline topics, and prepare to write. Three differentiated levels support individual students across grades and abilities. The classroom environment allows librarians and teachers to provide feedback, monitor individual contributions to group work, and view statistics about source use.
